Usually when I lose my voice it is very faint, this time around I have no voice at all. I do rest my voice as much as I can but I am a mom of an 8 yr old, 5 yr old and a very active 1 yr old. I have actually seen a couple of doctors about it and every one states it is just laryngitis but how many times can I have laryngitis. I guess I am more concerned now than before is because this time is different. I have no voice at all, for me it's more of a safety issue. If anything happens I can not call for help. My family is literally reading my lips to communicate with me.

I have just switched to a new doctor to get another opinion and she has referred me to another ENT. I do not have asthma, I do have some type of allergies but not sure what. Testing never came back conclusive for what allergies but I was told this was normal. No one in my family immediate and non-immediate has any issue with their vocal cords.

I work from home currently but in previous years I haven't held any position that would involve me being near any chemicals or fumes that would irritate me. I don't travel alot due to my kids being so young. Sorry for being all over the place with my answer I was trying to make sure I answered all your questions.
