Ampr01,

The bleeding you experienced could have been caused by the Plan B, or it could have been a period....but it sounds like it was your period since you said it was right on time (when you expected your period), and it lasted for several days.

Plan B does cause irregular bleeding (this is not harmful), and makes it difficult for women to know if it is their period or not. Typically, this irregular bleeding does not occur at the time of their expected period, and is very light...more like spotting or what is called "breakthrough bleeding" (not as heavy as a period, but a little more than just spotting).

It does not matter if you have intercourse or not regarding pregnancy, as there are some sexual behaviors that are known to be "low risk" for pregnancy and "high risk" for pregnancy.
High Risk Sexual Behaviors for Pregnancy include:
- Penis-to-vagina penetration without correct use of birth control (intercourse)
- Penis-to-vagina contact without penetration, and without barrier (condom)
- Ejaculatory fluid that comes into contact with the vagina

Did any of the above occur? You can "fool around" and be very safe from pregnancy; there are many "safer sex" options that you can do in which the penis and vagina... and most importantly their fluids!...do not come into contact with each other.

Lastly, you would not have any pregnancy symptoms this early, and the chance of pregnancy without intercourse is extremely slight, depending on what type of "fooling around" you did (theoretically, a penis could ejaculate outside of the vagina, and the semen could travel into the vaginal canal, without penetration).
