I forgot all about this post and my pain. It stopped after changing my chair, drinking more water, and exercising more. I think the seating position was the key, though, because I've fallen back into bad habits from time to time about not enough water or exercise and pain still has not returned. I do think mine was a cramp, but in a really odd area for a cramp and in a small, local area of the leg. My old chair was for a standing height desk and I switched to a regular desk and chair.
