Crystal,

I am very sorry to hear about what you're going through-- it can be very frustrating. Thank you for posting your story and welcome to EmpowHer.

Your doctor seems to be doing the right thing although it may not be what you want to hear. After 69 days of no period and 2 negative urine tests, chances are you are not pregnant; it definitely would've picked up the hormone by now. She may be wrong about the PCOS but it doesn't hurt to get tested and you will find out with the scheduled ultrasound whether or not you have PCOS and definitely if you are pregnant.

If you still want a second opinion and are not comfortable with your doctor by all means, please do switch doctors. It is very important to feel comfortable with your doctor and if that is not the case, then I'm with you on this second opinion you want to seek. Have you been irregular all your life or is this recent? Unfortunately, the stress from trying to conceive a baby can definitely take its toll and cause you to be late or even completely miss a period.

Here is some more info on PCOS, if you are interested: https://www.empowher.com/condition/polycystic-ovarian-syndrome

Best of luck to you and I hope your doctor has some answers for you soon!
