Hi,
I'm assuming you had unprotected sex? If so, anytime you have unprotected sex, there is a risk of pregnancy. Emergency contraception can reduce this risk (up to about 80% when taken immediately afterwards). As the ipill instructions say, it does not protect against FUTURE unprotected intercourse, so no...having unprotected sex on the 17th after you took the emergency contraception is not safe (from pregnancy).

You should take a home pregnancy test, since you have missed your period, to see if you are pregnant. When were you expecting your period? The two "episodes" of unprotected sex were late in your cycle, which makes it slightly less likely that you could have been ovulating at that time (but not impossible).

Also, taking emergency contraception can lead to irregular periods, either "breakthrough bleeding" (bleeding in between periods), or it can even delay a period (I know...this isn't a helpful side effect!). Just so you know there are other reasons to being late.

Please let us know what the test says, and if you need any further information!
