A bland diet is basically a diet that keeps foods out of your intestines that might irritate them. You want to stay clear, for instance, of big pepperoni pizzas, spicy wings and intense Mexican salsa! But you probably know those things. What else does a bland diet mean?
Besides avoiding spicy foods, you want to avoid greasy foods. Think baked or grilled instead of fried. With vegetables, cooked is better, and you want to avoid those that will cause you gas. And in dairy, most everything is OK, but you want to avoid high fat content.
