So your January period was on January 29, so that would be Day 1 of your next cycle.
Since you regularly have a 30-day cycle, your next period would have been expected around February 20. And you probably were ovulating somewhere around Feb. 5-7.
You had unprotected sex on Feb. 12, which should have been past your ovulation date and past the time that an egg would survive.
About a week later (so we are up to about the 19th yet) you had about a 3-day period. That's about right on time for when your regular period should have been expected. But it was shorter than normal and a little different.
At this point, if you were pregnant, an HPT test should have been able to show you that by about Feb. 21 at the latest. You said you took a pregnancy test on Feb. 29, did you mean Feb. 28? (We didn't have a Feb. 29 this year). Even on the 28th, if you were pregnant that should have been plenty of time for a HPT to detect the pregnancy hormone in your urine. Since it said you were negative, and since you did have a period (even though it was slightly different) I would trust it.
If I had to guess, I would guess that your hormones are just a little off and that your period will come this month about March 20-21, give or take a little. Try not to stress about it. If you don't get a period this month, then you might make a doctor's appointment to see what's up.
