Hi Anonymous-

I suggest you see a health care provider. Some infections and STDs have no symptoms in women, or the symptoms are brief and get missed while the infection rages on internally. Since you felt you had some symptoms and they disappeared, it is a good idea to see a provider and get tested to rule out any infections that could be happening inside with no real symptoms on the outside. This is indeed how women end up with PID, although that isn't necessarily what is going on with you.

Sometimes you have an infection or issue like yeast or something, and depending on the time of the month the pH in your vagina can change a bit and become less hospitable to whatever it was. For instance, sometime getting your period will settle a yeast infection down. But because of the seriousness having an undiagnosed infection in your body, it is much better to get checked and tested just to rule out anything that can do you harm.

Good luck.
