Hi Bella,

Thank you for your post.

Unfortunately, as we age, our skin tends to lose elasticity and this is the result of the neck starting to sag, arms, and the skin in other parts of our body. In your case, you have lost a substantial amount of weight in which case the extra skin you have does not have the ability to bounce back. Think about elasticity this way-- when you have a rubber band and you stretch it, it "bounces" back as soon as you let it go back to its normal size. That is your skin at its peak-- youth. Now, take a rubber band that has been used many times and do the same thing, even though it may go back a bit, it will never go back to where it was when it was brand new-- this is your skin after it has lost elasticity or "bounce-back" power.

Kudos to you for being very active and enjoying exercise, you can help improve some of the sagging this way. I cannot tell you that the sagging will be completely eradicated with exercise because it is just not true. Sometimes, people that are open to surgery and strongly dislike "saggy" arms, will resort to having the excess skin removed in the operating table. Others, learn to love the skin they're in and accept the fact that they will never have tight arms or thighs, but can improve it through daily exercise.

You should be proud of what you have accomplished! Consider the sag as your "battle wounds" and continue kicking butt with your exercise! :-)
