There are over the counter medications like Gas-Ex to help with this sort of thing, but it is not universally accepted that it really helps. You can get up and go for a walk outside or something and that may help, avoid carbonation or if you have lactose intolerance avoid dairy, but sometimes there is not a lot you can do without seeing a health care provider to diagnose just what is going on.
This is an issue for many people, so at least you know you are not alone. A consistent high fiber diet and plenty of exercise will help keep your gut moving steadily along and may help prevent some of these episodes as well.
