Hello Demdar-

I believe at this time fallopian tube donation is not done. This is likely for several reasons. When you donate an organ, the person who receives it has to take anti-rejection immune-suppressing drugs, usually for the rest of her life. The surgery itself can be tricky, with reattaching nerves and blood vessels, etc.

Because we have the ability to do in-vitro fertilization, there isn't such a great need for fallopian tube donation which would carry a lot more risk. So usually if your cousin still has ovaries, they would take her eggs out, fertilize them and implant them in her uterus. If she doesn't have ovaries any longer, you or someone else could donate eggs to her for this process.

We have a page on in-vitro fertilization that you might find interesting: https://www.empowher.com/media/reference/vitro-fertilization-ivf

I'm glad you asked this question! It is not one I've had before, so I learned a little something while I researched to be sure my answer was correct. Never feel weird asking a question. If you wonder about something, you can bet lots of other people do, too.

Thanks for visiting the site!
