Rebecca - You are so right! Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death throughout the world, yet somehow the need for education and awareness just isn't what it needs to be to save lives. Not to be crude, but a dead person can't tell their story. Someone - female or male - who feels their doctor doesn't listen to them and worries they may "offend" the doctor by seeking another opinion is putting their health at risk. It's critical that the word get out to more women - we must educate ourselves and learn from the experience of others - including people like you. Thanks for blogging and being so open about what you've experienced and learned - it makes a real difference!
Take care,
Pat
