I believe what your doctor meant by the cause could be from your diet is more than what you eat one day, but rather, if you have any vitamin or mineral deficiencies (such as iron, for example) that has occurred over a long period of time from your overall lifestyle and diet.
I am not sure that eating any type of rare red meat is the safest choice, regardless of health condition.
