Yes, it can be completely normal to have "breakthrough bleeding" (bleeding in-between your periods) after taking Plan B. It can also be completely normal to have a period that is late or early, for a cycle or two. I know it is really bad timing to take something like emergency contraception, and then be told that it can cause an irregular cycle...at a time when you most need your cycle to be regular!

You can take a home pregnancy test when you are expecting your next period (2.5 weeks), and that should be accurate (assuming you do not have unprotected sex from now until that time).

Your period should become regular again (as it was in the past) within the next one or two cycles.

I'm curious why the condom tore, as this should not happen so easily! Be sure to use lots of lubrication (KY Jelly, Astroglide or similar), and be sure that your partner has left room at the tip of the condom (empty space) to collect the semen.
