Hi Asayo!

I am glad you found our site for your confusion about womanhood. You are completely fine. Your periods will be normal, then all of a sudden become completely out of whack and then go back to being normal. All of these things you explain are completely normal.

Sometimes there is no reason for abnormal periods. Sometimes we skip months, sometimes we have cramps so bad that you would think your insides are going to fall out and then on other occasions, you go to the bathroom and notice your period and you never felt a thing. There is just no real explanation why these things happen. If you are stressed, exercise, change your diet, these will all affect your menstrual cycle as well.

Since you are only 14 years old, have you considered birth control? Can you talk to your parents about sex or is that out of the question?

There are many things you need to learn about how to protect yourself from sexually transmitted diseases, how to prevent pregnancy and so forth. You should also talk to your partner about this also. My biggest concern about this question is that you are fearing every time you have sex. Are you sure you are really prepared for the possible consequences of having sex? It is certainly okay to wait!

Talk to us, Asayo! We will guide you the best way possible!
