Yes, I too am interested in the use of Forteo on someone who has a fused spine from having had scoliosis. I have had osteoporosis for the last 7 years and have been using Actonel (plus calcium and Vitimin D). Last month I was told that there is a serious bone loss in the the spinal area. The physician recommended stopping Actonel and going on Forteo for 1-1/2 to 2 years.
I haven't decided yet what to do. Part of my puzzlement is that my spine is totally fused from scoliosis treatment in the 1940s. I am now 71 yrs.
We are trying to make a decision and would appreciate any input.
