The doctor I went to that originally diagnosed me with it seemed very uneducated about the subject. In fact, I had to do my own research and inform her! She was unable to tell me which strain I had. I had a lot of questions and concerns, some of which she answered, but at the end of the conversation she said "don't worry about it" because sometimes it clears on its own. This is crazy, because like you said some forms of HPV can lead to cancer. Needless to say, I am going to another doctor to address this issue and to find out what's going on for sure. I knew something was wrong when about a year ago I discovered a wart in my anal area. I had it surgically removed by the doctor, and hadn't experienced the same sort of wart since, until recently a tiny bump appeared on the lips of my vaginal area and it has been there for at least a month. Are you able to offer some advice?
