I can testify that it DOES affect your menstraual cycle to the point where you can still get pregnant and carry full term all the while still bleeding here and there to make you think that you are having a period. By all means I am not a junkie but have been prescribed opiates for several years and even had a baby while they kept me on my script but slowly weaned me down as to not send me into withdrawal or the baby. I did have spot bleeding throughout the pregnancy and didn't even know I was as far along as I was until my Dr asked if I wanted to hear the heartbeat. "Oh sh*t, oh sh*t, oh sh*t" immediately went through my mind as I thought about the babies wellbeing. She is happy and healthy all around and is 2 years old now. Now that I am approaching 40 years old I am trying to completely be off ALL perscribed drugs and look to healthier and natural remedies to help me through the chronic pain but think for my own sanity and the well being of my daughter that I myself want to be clean. Going through the withdrawal process and 4 pregnancy tests later saying I wasn't pregnant I did notice this morning a different kind of menstraul cycle and making an appointment today to have myself checked as there was a white, chunky and stretchy type of mucus mixed with the blood. A piece being as big as half a pinky length. No odor or smell but def scary. Another site said it just means I'm just fertile but at almost 40 I'm a little weary specially after having 3 miscarriages prior to taking opiates and Uteran Cancer. Has anyone ever heard of this? I'm so anxious I want to jump out of my skin.
