I am 25 years old, I have been taking birth control since I was 18. I skipped 3 days of pills (a weds, thurs, and friday) On Thursday we had sex and he came inside of me, on Saturday we had sex again and he pulled out. The first timd we had sex was the 24th of the month and the 2nd was the 26th of the month. The first day of my last period was the 14th of the month. I am also taking an antibiotic that lessens the effectiveness of the pill. What are the chances that I became pregnant?

Hi! I had unprotected sex early Saturday morning and was due to take my pill at 12pm, but I didn’t. I have now missed 4 days of pills ( Sat, Sun, Min, Tues). No bleeding or any signs of a period so far. Should I start a new pack?

Hello,
So i have been on citalopram 1/28 for about a year and half. Last week was week 1 of my pack and i missed the first 2 days.. so i was 48 hours late. I had unprotected sex 4 times within that time frame (he came in me). I was also over 12 hours late two days in a row the first week that Friday and that Saturday.. i am super bloated and have cramping in my lower stomach as well as a lot of milky thin discharge.. I️ don’t know when i should take a pregnancy test because i don’t know if and when i ovulated.. help!!

Hello Anon
We cannot know either if you ovulated but you can take a test 14 days after sex. In the meantime, keep taking your pills as usual and set an alarm on your phone to help you remember to take them. If you miss then, do not have unprotected sex.
Best,
Susan

Hi I recently forgot to call into my drs office for a refill for my birth control (Alysena 28). I started the placebo pills of my previous pack on the 10th and will not receive my refill until the 21st. My period began on the 14th and ended on the 17th. So would I be considered 3 active pills behind? I also had unprotected sex on the 17th and the 18th 3x and he came in me, is there a chance I could be pregnant?

Hello Anon

Yes, there is some risk of pregnancy if you weren't taking any precautions. You can test if you don't get your period next month.

Hi! I was on 4th day of my normal period, when my doctor prescribe to take birth control pills. When I start take that pills I start have very strange symptoms like swollen breast, acne, nausea... and I decided to stop taking them on 19 active pill Reclipsen (23 day of my period). And right now I don’t know, when I will get my period? I feel much better with out that pills. Thank you!

Hello Anon
Birth control pills don't suit every woman.
Your next period may be delayed now since you have taken some pills. It should be along within the next few weeks, you will just have to wait it out.
Best,
Susan

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

We cannot predict if someone will get pregnant or not. But you are at risk for pregnancy since you had unprotected sex. You can opt for emergency contraception; they are available without prescription at any drugstore. Follow the directions carefully. It must be taken within 5 days of sex.
