Hi Veda,
Urinary tract infections are so uncomfortable, even painful, and are quite common. It is not common to have them every 15 days, however. It sounds as if your UTI is not being treated properly. Can you tell us the exact medications you are being given? It is important that you take an antibiotic to rid your body of the infection (assuming your UTI is caused by a bacteria). Lotions and creams will only relieve symptoms temporarily; they are not treatments to cure the UTI. Are you able to go to your doctor, or another doctor, for this treatment?

Cranberry juice will not treat a UTI once you have one, and has minimal (if any) effects on actually preventing a UTI. It is not something that would benefit you enough to risk taking it with diabetes.

Since you are trying to conceive, many women who have frequent sex are more susceptible to UTIs, because the urethra is so close to the vagina. Are you noticing more symptoms after intercourse?

Please ask your doctor about antibiotics, as an untreated UTI can lead to more serious infections!
