With repeat or frequent infection AND/or if you ever had hemorrhagic cystitis (where urine was pinkish or somewhat bloody), it may be advisable to have a cystoscopy exam for the doctor to determine if there are any additional, perhaps overlooked, reasons for those infections. Maintaining an acidic urine also helps. You can check pH of urine at home & use/add foods or supplements that would help increase urine acidity (vitamin C, some fruits, etc.). Also make sure you are not consuming too much food/supplements that would increase the alkalinity of urine.
