Just to be clear, metronidazole is not an anti-fungal. It is an antibiotic or anti-parasitic agent that is appropriate treatment for both BV and trich. There is no indication for this drug for a yeast infection. In fact, it may make a yeast infection worse as one of the side effects of metronidazole is candidiasis (aka yeast infection).
