Hi...I hope by now you have found the answer to your question... I know how frustrating it can be to think you're infected with an STD and to actually be diagnosed with one... so to ease your mind if it hasn't been eased already Metronidazole is used to treat both BV and Trich. I was diagnosed with Trich and was prescribed 500 mg of Metronidazole twice a day for 7 days. I have had BV before and the prescription was exactly the same. Metronidazole treats both infections. Your parnter should probably be treated also just in case it is Trich and to prevent possible reinfection.
