Girls who are 12 or 13 are getting their period right? Well, they only show 18-40 year old in tampon commercials. It would be better to include teenagers too, dont you think?

Interesting viewpoint. But isn't it the tampon ads objective to sell tampons, not educate. Also, the tampon companies are marketing to those who would actually purchase the products, not to a 5-8th grader with no money who generally speaking has little idea what is going on in regard to menstruation. It's the older sisters, and the mothers of said young women who purchase things and educate them (of course some education comes from their more knowledgeable friends). It also was brought to my attention by a friend that the majority of young women often are leery of tampons, and instead choose to use pads. Just some fuel for the fire.

what i meant i guess was that not specifically in tampon commercials, but in all the medicines and commercials that go with it. and personally, i started using them right away. i wasnt saying that during their 1 minute commercial they should educate them,but have girls younger that 20 in them
