Hi,
Fertility issues are not officially "diagnosed" until you have been trying to conceive with regular, unprotected intercourse for 12 months.

You can not count the past 10 years that you have not been actively trying to conceive as "proof" that you have fertility issues. The only time that counts is the time you and your husband (possibly fiance) have been actively trying to conceive with regular, unprotected intercourse. If you have been trying since you have been married, it has "only" been 5 months (although, I know it can SEEM like a lifetime...I've been there!).

Did your doctor tell you what the cause of your irregular periods were, besides confirming what it is not (endometriosis)? Do you still have regular periods? How long have you been off of hormonal contraception?
