Hi anon,
There is a slight chance of pregnancy, but it depends on exactly what happened. Sometimes, women say that penetration was "only the tip" or "only a second"...and that may be 100% true, or it may be wishful thinking (or, after-the-fact "hazy" memory, as during the heat-of-the-moment it is difficult to think straight sometimes!).

Worst-case scenario: if your boyfriend penetrated your vagina without ejaculation (and it lasted longer and/or his penis went in deeper), this is called "Withdrawal Method" of birth control. Basically, it provides up to 70% effectiveness against pregnancy.

Best-case scenario: your boyfriend literally slipped just the tip of his penis in for 1.4 seconds, and immediately withdrew his penis. You two had been physically intimate for a while, and probably no "pre-ejaculatory fluid" was on his penis (this may/may not contain sperm..usually does not and is only a few drops of semen at the tip of the penis when it becomes erect). In this case, the chance of pregnancy would be extremely rare.

If you are really worried, go ahead and take a home pregnancy test. You can wait a week for your period to begin; it really can be late for other reasons than pregnancy, and it is very common for a period to be late...especially in the moment when you need it to start on time! A home pregnancy test would probably be reassuring for you, as it is 99% accurate at detecting any pregnancy hormone once you've missed your period.

I'm glad to hear that you will be using hormonal contraception! Please know that women do miss pills, accidentally, and it is important to have condoms as back-up to use for 7 days if (when) you ever miss a pill.
