I'm sure you know the answer to this better than anyone else. What are you afraid of? What have you been taught about losing your virginity? Every culture and family has different ideas about it, and I'm guessing yours tells you to wait as long as possible before having sex.
Sex is a big deal. Society doesn't always treat it that way, but it is. If you have doubts, take time to think about why that is. Maybe it's the wrong time or the wrong man, maybe you need to use protection, maybe you just aren't ready.
It's your body, and your sex life. If you are not ready, don't force it. Be in control of what you want, and you will feel better about yourself. Good luck to you.
