I am glad to hear you are going to the doctor, who I'm assuming will tell you that it is undoubtedly from wearing non-supportive shoes for long distances.

It is good to rule out any medical conditions, especially since you had a previous injury.

Please let us know what your doctor says, as we could speculate all day what your pain is being caused from (previous injury, wearing poor shoes for long distances). Keep us updated, and we can provide more in-depth information regarding any diagnosis or treatments that are recommended. I would bet the treatment suggestion: better shoes for long distances, and you will feel improvement quickly.

The new trend for men and women to wear flip-flops year-round has been showing an increase in foot pain, and your situations sounds similar to this. Hang in there!
