Do you know what type of surgery the doctor is recommending? And what kind of prolapse do you have (cystocele, rectocele, etc.)? I know treatment for vaginal prolapse can depend on the desire for future pregnancy, so it may help to know. If you undergo a full hysterectomy, you will not be able to carry a child.
