I suggest you make an appoint to see your gynecologist. You are clearly having menstrual issues, and by January you could be quite anemic from the blood loss. While you are there, have your annual exam, discuss the fact that you want to become pregnant, and your gyne will help you make a plan to accomplish that.
Sometimes docs are more proactive now with prescribing supplements and other things prior to pregnancy. In addition, you may have fibroids or as you wonder, endometriosis or even a hormonal issue that the birth control kept in check. It is important to figure this out before you attempt pregnancy.
