I had the ablation on 6/26/2012, after the procedure I starte bleeding like a period but on the 2nd day it stopped; however, on the third day I started my period and it lasted for seven days....yes seven days it wasn't as bad as my cycle in the past. I experienced cramping and pain during my period when I went to my follow up visit in two weeks (I called the doctor just about every day but spoke with his nurse) I shared my experience with the doctor...he checked my cervix but said he did not see a blood (after my period I spotted for three weeks) he never addressed the pain he said I would see the full results of the procedure in three months. Four days later I decided to go to urgent care due to the side pain and pressure to be informed I had a UTI I was very anger with my OBGYN so I called to speak with him but of course got his nurse. I followed up with my primary care physican after my urgent care visit and yes I had an UTI. I started my period again on 7/30, it seemed to be very light but on the third day (today) it's pretty heavy and I have severe cramping (I've never had cramps before this procedure)....waiting to see what day four brings (8/2/2012). Note: I've always stayed on my period for seven days.
