Condoms are up to 98% effective at preventing pregnancy. No one can tell you if you are "paranoid" or not, as the only way to never get pregnant is...never to have sex! Well, that is not what most of us choose, so yes...there is an inherent risk to having intercourse.

Choosing to use condoms is a great choice, and provides effective protection against pregnancy. You don't have to feel paranoid, you can choose to be informed with information. Ovulation calendars are just averages; they are based on women ovulating at the exact-mid-point of your cycle (assuming a 28-day cycle, you would ovulate on day 14). Women's bodies do not behave in this exact way, and even with a range of days....it is still just that: a range. An average. They are not set in stone, and you can just know that you ovulate sometime in the middle of your cycle. You may be a perfect day 14; other months you may be a day 7 or a day 20...it really is that varied for some women.

When was your last menstrual period (first day of bleeding), and when are you expecting your next period? Any pregnancy symptoms you have BEFORE a missed period mimic pre-menstrual symptoms (PMS) to such an extent that they are almost impossible to separate. Any anxiety you have about a possible unwanted pregnancy would also create an upset stomach!
