I had my second MVD on Nov. 11,2002 at UPMC (the first one was at U of P and it was unsuccessful, that one was performed on July 19,2002,3 1/2 months earlier.Approximately 5 years post-op certain triggers were resurrected for whatever reason. These included washing hair while showering, brushing teeth, flossing,(especially at the 6 month dental cleaning) sneezing, caffeine, stress, tired, fatigued, especially after a light nap.Thankfully, the symptoms were shorl lived and temporary, but everybody has a nervous system unique to them,so it's difficult to generalize about this condition, once it has been addressed by way of the MVD.My advice-monitor and chronicle your symptoms, consult with your neurosurgeon and get a second opinion.
