Anon - It's disheartening to ask about any change in our body that could signal a problem and to be dismissed. The symptoms you describe could indicate several different medical problems, but you need a diagnostic workup to really determine what's going on. Blood in the urine is never normal, for example, and should always be checked out.

Please make an appointment and plan to bring in a written list, with a timeline, of all of the body changes and symptoms you've noticed. Organizing your information will make this easier for you to explain, and easier for your doctor to understand and see the bigger picture. Write out the questions you want answered in advance. This will help ease your nervousness and enable you to be sure you get the information you really need and don't forget anything.

You are neither stupid or a fool, just a young human being in need of some answers, direction and care. If you come in prepared, and are treated rudely, then you just find another doctor who will take your needs seriously. You are going to live with your body all your life, and are the only one who can take care of it.

It says a lot for you that you took the time to write in about this, and I think you are going to do just fine when you see the doctor. Please let us know how it goes, and if we can help further after you have more information. We're happy to help. Pat
