Thank you for your question and for finding EmpowHER. Condoms when used correctly are roughly 98% effective at preventing pregnancy. If you are really concerned about getting pregnant, you may want to either abstain from intercourse, or use a backup method of birth control such as spermicide gel or cream, the withdrawal method, or ask your doctor about getting on birth control pills.
