Thank you for your question and for finding EmpowHER. The surest way to know, is to take a pregnancy test, or call your doctor or clinic to request one. I know it may be scary, but compare it to how scary is it questioning? Let us know what you find out.
And in answer to your question, yes, stress definitely can have an affect on your period. Other things that can affect it include sickness, nutrition habits, and any medications you may be taking. Do you and your partner not use any protection when you have sex? It is a very easy remedy to this type of stress, to start using birth control (maybe even two methods, such as condoms and withdrawal, or birth control pills and withdrawal). I understand you have been under other stress. I'm sorry for your family's recent troubles. Let go of what isn't in your control, and do what you can to EmpowHER yourself so you can advocate for your health.
