No it was not difficult for me to change my diet. I think because I was experiencing such terrible anxiety, and my general health was so poor that I felt it was at least worth a try. The improvement in my general health, the total disappearance of my anxiety within 2 weeks of changing has convinced me that it is worth it to stay on this eating program. I really do not even think of it as a diet.
The second thing is that it is so much easier today to buy gluten free products and even in my area there are restaurants that feature gluten free menus. You really do not have to feel as if you are being deprived of anything. The taste of some gluten free products I find is different from regular products. It is not horrible though and I have gotten used to it quickly.
