Q:

Burning type pain in right ovary... Could it still be the cyst?

I was diagnosed with a hemorrhagic ovarian cyst back in November. It was only 3cm and my GYN said it would go away on its own, no follow-up needed. The cyst was originally found because I was having pelvic pain and the pain has not gone away yet, it comes and goes. I have recently been having a burning type pain in the same spot and the pain comes on more frequently when I'm around vibrations (like hitting a bump while driving). The pain is not debilitating by any means, it's just uncomfortable. Could the pain still be the cyst? Should it have resolved by now (two months later)?

I am having similar pains and was diagnosed with the same problem. The Gynocologist advised and all reports I have read about these sort of cycsts that it will dissipate on your next menstrual cycle, However if not and if you feel as though it is not getting better then definitely go back to the Gynocologist for further investigations, as you mentioned you are expriencing pain for a further 2 months, I would get it checked that it is not growing and turning into something nastier.
