Thanks for you question, and for finding EmpowHER. More than likely it is your period if you have finished all your pills. Try to be more diligent about taking your pills when you're supposed to, and you may want to use a backup form of birth control (condom or withdrawal method for example) until you've taken the pill for seven days without forgetting. Most information that comes with the pill suggests using backup for the first month, but at the very least, the first seven days.
