Karin Brandau - There is no definite answer, based on research, as to the most suitable climate for someone with Cystic Fibrosis(CF). In fact, there are no publications in over 12,000 on Medline dealing with CF and climate.

You're likely aware, however, that viral infections such as colds can trigger additional respiratory issues for people with CF. Some people therefore feel that a warm, dry climate is better for patients, but there really is no hard evidence of this. As an Arizona resident, I can tell you that we do have a warm, dry climate and many great ways to have a vacation here, but in the summer there are considerable air quality issues in the urban areas.
