PCOS can cause androgenic alopecia, which usually starts at the top of both temples. Have you been to another dermatologist? Perhaps a second opinion wouldn't hurt considering that even if the PCOS was causing this, a dermatologist would pick up on the alopecia.

Is the hair on the right side of your head visibly thinner than the left? Is one side visibly shorter?

Aside from PCOS, have you had any trauma to that side of your head or any medications that could be causing the hair loss?
