Clearly, because of your concern and reaching out to the Empowher community, this heavy bleeding with clots is not normal for you. The heavy bleeding can lead to iron deficiency anemia which explains your feeling of exhaustion.
My heart goes out to you that you have no current insurance coverage and can't afford a visit the gynecologist. Have you telephoned your doctor to report this? I am not a physician, but I am very concerned: this could have been a miscarriage, you could be anemic...And I think you really need to be seen and properly evaluated. Is there a free health clinic that deals with women's health issues in your area? This may be an option for you.
