Your "couple of bleeds" may have been a result of your missed pills ("withdrawal bleeding", due to your body going through a type of "withdrawal" from the absence of hormones).
I am not clear on how long ago you missed pills and had unprotected sex. If you were expecting your period, and you have not had your regular menstrual "period", it would be a good idea to take a home pregnancy test (under $20) to rule out pregnancy.
