Thanks for your question and for finding EmpowHER. Since you likely expected your period last weekend or earlier this week, you may want to take a pregnancy test to verify if you are pregnant. I know it may be scary, but it is the surest way to know if you are late, skipping, or pregnant. The event on the 26th would be too soon to tell if you are pregnant--it typically takes 10-14 days for a fertilized egg to make its way to the uterus and implant. Then a pregnancy test would detect the hormones you produce in pregnancy--those tests are super sensitive to that hormone, so if it's negative, you're likely not pregnant. If you skip, keep track of when you expected it to start, and any symptoms you have so you can relay those to a doctor if you end up needing to see one.
