Sorry her ending statement made you feel weird. I didn't have that reaction. I understood her to be encouraging others to enjoy life from a 'knowledge is power' perspective. She helps me see that making proactive choices about what we consume and expose our bodies to can (perhaps should) be part of our approach to living well. I also think that contrary to making the case that it's hard to live a "natural" life (which is more of a marketing term than anything), we generally have non-toxic options readily available. It just boils down to choices for most of us, with the notable exceptions of the under-paid laborers who cultivate our foods and landscape our toxic yards in order to sustain their own families. In that sense, choosing organic food or chemical free yards not only protects us but our communities.
