There are a number of reasons for increased saliva production. Among them include pregnancy (rule that one out if your not able to be pregnant), a mouth infection of some sort, or reflux of the esophagus (GERD). If this is an ongoing problem, you may want to get an appointment with your doctor to rule out different causes to get to the root of the problem.
