Thanks for your question, and for finding EmpowHER. I'm glad you have a yearly exam coming up. Be sure and mention these symptoms (like the bloating, any unexplained weight gain, excessive cramping) to your doctor. It's likely it could have just been an irregular or heavy period. Our bodies can change from time to time. If you have been sick, changed your eating habits, or have been under a considerable amount of stress it can affect your period. Since you had heavy bleeding, you are not pregnant, even though all the symptoms you mentioned may seem like pregnancy symptoms.
It's possible the excessive cramping and bleeding could indicate you passed a cyst or something similar.
