Hello Anonymous,

If you don't want to become pregnant then you must start using birth control regularly. An emergency contraceptive cannot and should not be used as birth control.

There was need to take Plan B because you were not at risk for becoming pregnant since you finished your period a day or two prior that having intercourse.

You upset the hormonal balance that regulates your menstrual cycle. That is why you had vaginal bleeding. It may take the month for your levels to return to normal.

Please if you are sexually active during this month, have your partner use a condom. I cannot tell you when you will expect your next period. It could be on time or start earlier or later than expected. That is why it is important to use protection until your next period starts.
