If you have been taking your birth control pills correctly, the week break is the week when you should be getting your period. Most likely, you have already ovulated (an egg released from one ovary) and you will begin menstrual bleeding. It is very unlikely that you can get pregnant during your period. But, to be safe, your partner should wear a condom during sex.
