Hi,
Yes, Blood sugar is actually glucose molecules that circulate in your blood stream but a "normal level" may still be too high for many non diabetics

According to the Havard medical journal (2004) A study was done in non diabetics which showed that for every 1% percentage over 5 on the Ac1 blood sugar test their was an increase of viscersal(belly) body fat and heart disease in non diabetics.

It showed the link between belly fat and blood sugar even in so called normal levels

Those who had a normal level (or high normal level) showed an increase of abdominal fat.

A good friend of mine is overweight by about 40 pounds, her blood sugar is normal. Her doctor told her to getting the blood sugar Ac1 down another 1% could cause her to drop the bellyfat

This is why the diabetes diet in the
article may have helped the non diabetic drop the bellyfat

Hope this helps
